I can’t stay put. I really can’t. I have been travelling for as long as I can remember. I consider myself a citizen of the world. My dad thinks I’m a persons of extremes. It’s never in the middle, I either do it until I can’t go on anymore, or I simply don’t.
My name is Anda, which is short for Alexandra, although not many people know about it, and I prefer it that way. I am a Romanian, currently living in England, Essex, to be more precise. I have been here for the last 4 years studying and working, and travelling. As I am writing this, I realized I have roughly 577 days left until I embark one the greatest and probably longest adventure of my life, travelling around the world for a year or two. Yep, i don’t know yet for how long, but I do know it’s going to happen.
If I am completely honest, I kinda stumbled upon travelling, with no clear intentions at first. When I was young my parents always used to take me on holidays around Romania, and even abroad if they had the chance. They were, and probably still are as passionate about travelling as I am, but they didn’t have the chance to explore the world as I have now.
I am what some people would call addicted to travelling, anywhere, anytime, anyhow. By the end of this month (August 2014) I will have visited 8 countries. That is 8 countries, in 8 months. And there were plenty of other countries in the previous years. And yes, I do have a full-time job, and I don’t get any more holiday days than others.
The blog is going to be about me, and my experiences whilst I am travelling, being full-time employed and soon being a student again(starting my Masters Degree). I am determined to do all 3 of them in the same time, and I hope I can do it, but in the mean time, I invite you to read my stories, share them, like them, laugh at them(in the best way possible), and support me throughout this crazy time of my life.
